(Student Review)

“I wanted to share my wonderful experience taking violin and theory lessons with Viktoria for the past six years. I'm truly impressed by how much I've learned under her guidance.

Viktoria has a remarkable ability to explain complex musical concepts in a clear and accessible way. She always ensures I feel confident with new techniques before progressing further. Her encouraging and supportive approach has been invaluable in keeping me motivated and passionate about learning.

I've found her to be very attentive and patient, and her expertise is evident in her ability to pinpoint specific areas for me to focus on. Thanks to her teaching methods, I successfully passed my Level 5 RCM exams in violin, which helped me achieve my musical goals and grow as a musician.

I'm looking forward to continuing my musical journey with Viktoria and aim to achieve my Level 8 RCM exam this upcoming year with her support and guidance. I wholeheartedly recommend Viktoria to anyone. interested in learning music." - Emma S.

“I am pleased to write this testimonial for Viktoria, who has been my daughter Alice’s violin teacher for over six years. She is a truly accomplished violinist and an exceptional educator. Under her guidance, Alice has grown tremendously in both skill and confidence, and has developed a lasting love for the violin. Viktoria’s support and teaching have helped Alice perform on stage, prepare for RCM Level 8, and become actively involved in her school and community music programs.

Viktoria has been the most inspiring and effective teacher Alice has ever had. We are truly grateful for her dedication and talent. - Heeseok"

(parent of Talia)

“My daughter Talia started violin lessons in October 2023 with Miss Viktoriia Grynenko. Talia was five and a half years old. We interviewed two other teachers, and knew when we met Viktoriia that she was the right teacher for our family. And now almost 2 years later, we couldn't be more grateful with our choice. Our experience (mine and my daughter) has been rewarding and enjoyable. Viktoriia is very calm and methodical in her teaching. She started Talia on the Suzuki book and after a year and a half, started to teach Talia how to read notes. She is not only a great violinist, but also a great educator. My daughter is reserved, and Viktoriia's teaching style is a great fit. She is soft spoken, patient and explains how one learns, to both parent and child. Viktoriia also knows how to be direct and clear, and set expectations. She exposed Talia to a recital 2 months after she started, then two each school year. This has provided my daughter a great opportunity to grow her confidence and pride in herself. This year, as Talia was going to be away for the end of year recital, Viktoriia offered Talia the opportunity to play at another recital. My 7 year old was able to play on a big stage, without her teacher, with a new-to-her piano accompanist and she did so marvelously. In Talia's words, "Miss Viktoria is beautiful, nice and special". Thank you! - Joumana"

Review by Rebecca S:

“ I started with Viktoria back in 2020. I had violin lessons as a child and into my teens but hadn’t touched it in 9 years. I wanted to get back into it but was doubtful, feeling like I had lost any skills I once had and not feeling sure I had much skill to begin with. When I started with Viktoria I felt like I had lost my ear, my intonation was terrible and I had next to no sense of rhythm. Shifting into other positions was foreign and everything felt stiff and clumsy.

Fast forward to today and I can’t believe sometimes how much I have improved in my time with Viktoria. I regained all the skills I lost and have gained so much more, particularly in understanding musicality. She has an incredible talent for identifying what you need to work on and so many diverse tools and exercises to help you. She has given me so much confidence, and I am able to tackle pieces that I would have never expected. Things that I remember being such a challenge as a child in my lessons are now easy. She is very adaptable to my needs and always finds a way forward, no matter the obstacle. She is an exceptional violinist, an extraordinary teacher, and an inspiration. It’s been a privilege to learn from her these past years and I look forward to the growth I will continue to have under her instruction. - Rebecca S."
