Viktoria Grynenko

Dr. Viktoria Grynenko is a Ukrainian-born, multi-faceted artist based in Edmonton, Canada. In addition to violin performance, she also focuses on research and educational projects that involve rarely performed works for violin. Her efforts have been encouraged by Canadian and international organizations, such as the KUN Foundation, the Strauss Foundation, Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Edmonton Arts Foundation, and many others. Building on her PhD thesis (University of Alberta, 2021) that explored relationships between violin and dance, Viktoria continues to be actively involved in multi-disciplinary projects with local and international dancers. Having released her debut album “Violin in Movement” with Oclassica label in August 2023, Viktoria will release her second album of contemporary Ukrainian music in late 2024.
